This series is about loss, grief and the questions that we have as we deal with tragedies that turn our world on end. My family suffered such a tragedy in April of 2023. My adult daughter, while suffering from a bad ear infection laid down for a nap under the watchful eye of her loving husband. She never woke up. All of our lives were shattered and the question that kept me up at night was: Where was God?

While grief and loss is not an enjoyable subject, the lessons God can bring from the ashes of devastation are important for us to learn and take to heart.

This series in an invitation for you to join me as I explore grief, questioning God and I chronical our healing. In the articles that follow I probe the hard questions we ask in loss and what God reveals as truth through it all.

An Important Word About Grief

Loss of a loved one is an extremely difficult life event. You are not meant to navigate it alone. God offers peace through the worst of the storm, but I know that sometimes He seems just too far away to help in those darkest and most terrible moments.

Whether it is just yourself, or you are a couple or even a family trying to navigate grief I know it is very hard. Let me encourage you to reach out to a trusted close friend who can share your heart or a Christian grief counselor.
